I love this game. The game did a good job at capturing part of the atmosphere of the orginal Galaga added a flavor of its own. This game is a blast to pick up and play. There is nothing like wrecking havoc with the triple ship!! I love the Trubografx. It's a shame it didn't take off well here as it did in Japan. But I will say this, most of the games we got were fantastic, especially the shooters. This system definetely had quality over quantity. My fave game is actually Military Madness (please do a review :) )This system will always have a special place in my heart.
I actually played this game in the arcades back in the good-old quarter munching era. I personally prefer Gaplus (AKA Galaga 3) but it was extremely rare to see in arcades back in my day. I have to say my favorite 'revision' of Galaga is Namco's "arranged" version in it's arcade collection. Not only did it have a slew of new and interesting Galagans but it also had a cool new ship-bonding power up system that varied depending on what Boss Galaga caught your ship.
